• On December 5, 2025, the bidding results for the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) of the 300000 kW/16/2.4 million kWh solid thermal storage and shared energy storage power station project in Shawan City were announced. China Railway 17th Bureau Group Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid with a quotation of approximately 1.488 billion yuan, equivalent to a unit price of 0.62 yuan/watt hour. The bidder for this project is Shenyuan (Xinjiang) Investment Co., Ltd., which will construct a large-scale solid heat storage and shared energy storage power station located in Shawan City, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang. The planned area of the power station is about 245 acres, and the main construction contents include an equipment plant of about 70000 square meters, a 220 kV substation and a booster station, as well as a shared energy storage facility with a daily energy storage capacity of 300000 kilowatts/16 hours/2.4 million kilowatt hours.
