[Wind power system has become the second largest power source in Yunnan]Recently, new energy projects in Yunnan have been put into operation and connected to the grid smoothly. The power generation in Yunnan has reached a new high. At present, the installed wind power system has reached 11.21 million kW, becoming the second largest power source in Yunnan after hydropower. The energy authorities of Yunnan Province will further standardize the competition and distribution of photovoltaic resources in the province, strengthen factor guarantee, and coordinate and promote the synchronous construction of source network projects. We will ensure that 7 million kW will be connected to the grid in the first half of 2023 and 15 million kW will be put into production within the year. Data show that in the first quarter of 2023, the average utilization hours of wind power equipment in Yunnan reached 914 hours, much higher than the national average level of 615 hours. In the first four months of this year, wind power generated 12.427 billion KWH, up 18.78% year on year, becoming the main source of incremental power in Yunnan Province. Yunnan Province has excellent wind energy resources. The wind resources are proportional to the altitude, and the wind speed, the average wind power density and the utilization hours in the upper altitude area all increase. Because most of the mountain Basi areas in Yunnan Province are between 1000m and 2000m above sea level, the high altitude downwind resources have a significant topographic effect, resulting in a higher utilization hours. Data show that the number of hours of wind power utilization in Yunnan ranks the top two in China all year round. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
On May 12, 2026, Tianmu Pioneer Inner Mongolia's 5 billion silicon carbon negative electrode project factory cleaning project won the bid announcement, marking the official restart of the project after the adjustment of the plan. The project plans to produce silicon carbon negative electrodes and porous carbon annually, in line with the explosive demand for lithium battery materials.Editor/Gao Xue
In May 2026, the first batch of 18.6 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods will be shipped from Fuzhou to Mazu and Keelung via Qingzhou Port in Mawei, marking the upgrade of logistics to Taiwan from a single air route to a dual track sea and air route. Shipping costs by sea save 90% compared to air transportation, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Editor/Gao Xue
