[PowerChina won the bid for Cameroon's agricultural irrigation project] The Central and West Africa Company of POWERCHINA has received the letter of acceptance for Lot 2 of Cameroon Benue River Basin Agricultural Irrigation Development Project. The project owner is the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Land Improvement of Cameroon, with funding from the World Bank. The project is located in the northern region of Cameroon, and the main project content is the 2944 hectare governance project for pressurized and self flowing irrigation water conservancy and agricultural areas. The project duration is 25 months. After completion, it will greatly improve the irrigation conditions of farmland in the region, increase agricultural production, and promote economic development in the region. Compilation/Ma Xue

  • Recently, China Energy Construction China Power Engineering Guangxi Institute successfully won the bid for an important energy project in Sabah, Malaysia: the general contracting project of 100 MW dual-fuel peaking power plant. Located at the Kimanis Power Plant about 65km southwest of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the project aims to expand the existing facility to add six natural gas and diesel dual-fuel internal combustion engine generator sets with a total installed capacity of 100 MW. The project, which is expected to last 18 months, is scheduled to be officially put into commercial operation in March 2026, marking another important breakthrough for Chinese energy construction companies in overseas markets.
