[Construction of the Nihe Bridge Project in Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] On September 4, 2023, the renovation and expansion project of the Nihe Bridge in Liquan County began. The Nihe Bridge was first built in the 1990s and played an important role in connecting the north-south transportation of the county. With the expansion of urban area and the transformation of public transportation methods, the problem of insufficient bridge traffic carrying capacity is becoming increasingly prominent. After comprehensive consideration and extensive solicitation of opinions and suggestions from various sectors of society, the Liquan County Party Committee and Government have decided to implement the renovation and expansion project of the Nihe Bridge. The total investment of this project is 92.32 million yuan, designed by the Design and Research Institute of Chang'an University, and planned to be completed in September 2025. The project starts from the North Ring Road in the north and ends at the Park South Road turntable in the south, with a total length of 740 meters. The main bridge body is 306 meters long, the southern lead is 193 meters long, and the northern lead is 241 meters long. On the basis of the reinforcement of the original Nihe Bridge, a 14 meter wide variable cross-section continuous box girder bridge is spliced on both sides. After the renovation, the net width of the bridge deck is 40 meters, achieving two-way six lane traffic, which will further meet the needs of the public, improve the efficiency of north-south traffic, and promote the optimization of resource allocation, In order to effectively promote the development of "one river and two banks", accelerate the process of urban-rural integration, and become a transportation hub and city business card that highlights regional culture and is full of contemporary atmosphere, providing strong support for the high-quality development of Liquan.
