[Intensive construction of Zhejiang ultra-high voltage power grid project] On September 8, 2023, in Jindong District, Jinhua City, the foundation construction of the Pancun 500 kV transmission and transformation project is underway. In this phase of the project, two sets of 1 million kilowatt main transformers will be constructed, with a new line of 12 kilometers and a dynamic investment of over 540 million yuan. It is planned to be put into operation in March 2025. After the project is put into operation, it will not only provide an important transmission channel for ultra-high voltage power to be fed into the central Zhejiang power grid, but also become the "heart" of the regional main power supply, optimize the regional grid structure, and meet the demand for regional load growth. The Pancun 500 kV transmission and transformation project is the fourth 500 kV transmission and transformation project under construction in Zhejiang since August 2023. Previously, the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay 500 kV transmission and transformation project, the expansion and transmission project of Zhoushan Power Plant, and the 500 kV transmission project of Wenzhou San'ao Nuclear Power Plant began successively. In September, the 500 kV transmission project of Lishui Jinyun Pumped Storage Power Station and the 500 kV transmission project of Ningbo Ninghai Pumped Storage Power Station will also commence. • On the afternoon of October 8th, under the on-site escort of the Guangdong Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau's "Haixun 0927" ship, the first flatbed cargo ship dedicated to the transportation of new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait, the "Green Source No. 1" ship, slowly entered the Xuwen Hai'an New Port, marking the successful trial operation of the ship's roll on/roll off transport route in the Qiongzhou Strait. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships. The ship is planned to be deployed on the route from Hai'an New Port in Zhanjiang to Xiuying Port in Haikou. After being put into operation, it will add a new mode of sea transportation for new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait and effectively alleviate the tense situation of insufficient capacity for new energy vehicle transportation during the peak period of cross sea vehicle transportation in the Qiongzhou Strait.
