Recently, the main project of Hubei Songzi Pumped Storage Power Station, which China Energy Engineering Gezhouba Group participated in, started construction. The power station is located in Songzi City, Jingzhou, with a total installed capacity of 1200 megawatts, and belongs to the first-class large (1) type project. Gezhouba Group undertakes the construction of the upper reservoir and the installation of metal structures, with a contract amount of 712 million yuan and a construction period of 48.5 months. On June 1, 2026, the Guangzhou Eastern Center Intelligent Fusion New Energy Storage Industry Demonstration Project invested and constructed by Zengtou Energy Company, a subsidiary of Zengcheng Urban Investment Group, officially started construction. The total investment of the project is nearly 467 million yuan, and a new 150MW/300MWh electrochemical independent energy storage power station will be built. It will adopt lithium iron phosphate battery technology and be connected to the power grid at 110kV, with the functions of peak shaving, frequency regulation, and promoting the consumption of new energy.
